The Port of Roenne is the central traffic hub of Bornholm, serving ferries arriving from or leaving for Ystad in Sweden, Køge in Denmark and Sassnitz in Germany.

The numerous ferry links generate great activity and call for a highly efficient and professional port. In 2014, more than 1.5 million passengers and 245,000 cars passed through the Port of Roenne.

The three ferry links offer passengers the opportunity of visiting Bornholm, whether by car, by bike or on foot.

Visitors on foot may take a bus or the train to and from the terminal of the ferry to Bornholm, BornholmerFærgens, at Ystad in Sweden, from which the ferry will take passengers across the sea to Bornholm. From Køge, Sassnitz and Ystad, passengers may bring their own car.
